The Pilgrim’s Walk
A fun walk that covers the final stage of the Ignatian Way from Montserrat to Manresa. Nature and heritage offer a unique experience!
The Pilgrim’s Walk is a non-competitive fun walk that covers the final stage of the Ignatian Way from Montserrat to Manresa, offering three modes to suit different fitness levels. Nature, heritage and local products combine to offer a unique experience.
The Pilgrim’s Walk has been organized every year since 2015, covering the last stage of the Ignatian Way, from Montserrat to Manresa, following the path completed by Saint Ignatius of Loyola on 25 March 1522.
The original walk, called the “Montserrat 26”, is a 26-km route through inspiring landscapes: from Montserrat Monastery to Santa Cecília, Castellbell i el Vilar, Castellgalí and the Oller del Mas estate, ending up at Manresa’s Plaça Major.
In recent years, the Pilgrim’s Walk has incorporated two additional modes in order to make it accessible for everyone: the “Montserrat 8”, an 8-km route from Montserrat to Sant Cristòfol de Castellbell, with a shuttle service taking you the rest of the way to Manresa, and “Lluvià 15”, a 15-km circular route departing from Manresa’s Plaça Major, taking in the Lluvià Tower, the Gorg Blau (Blue Pool) and the Arrel Spring, reaching its furthest point at the Oller del Mas estate before linking up with the final section of the Ignatian Way.
