The Manresa Mediterranean Fair is the strategic market for artistic projects drawing on roots, tradition and popular culture as a creative engine.
The Mediterranean Fair adopts a 360-degree approach to traditional roots, building on intangible and cultural heritage through the associations of popular and traditional culture that connect it to society, at the same time embracing the professional sector: the artists who create on the basis of this tradition. The Mediterranean Fair focuses on cultural exchange, interrelations and intersections.
This is a multidisciplinary fair with a programme composed of three main strands: music, showcasing Mediterranean acts from the world music and folk music scenes, in particular emerging Catalan roots artists; dance, presenting traditional roots and popular culture in movement; and performing/street arts, with the accent on memory, legacy and storytelling, featuring theatre and circus acts that drink from popular culture.
